Dr. Acosta received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Houston. She then continued to the University of Houston College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Ellisor graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1982 with a qualification in Biology and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1984.
