The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is absolutely beautiful, just remember to cover up for this visit. Al Alam Palace has an unusual design rather than at all what I expected a palace to check like. The tour was nice but there was very little to see and the guide’s English was very limited. Any changes made less than 24 hours prior to the experience’s start time will not be accepted. Guideline is really a leading Scandinavian fly fishing tackle brand.
leanings, you cannot and can not be disappointed with a trip to it. Muttrah Souk will probably be worth a visit, but not the hive of activity we’d hoped for and like most souks is currently more targeted at the tourists rather than the locals. The fish market has been placed in a fresh modern building, so it too is losing its charm. We had a great tour guide who gave us a really good tour of Muscat city provided a great deal of information on the daily lives of the locals and also info around their religion which we found fascinating.

The next day we took another tour with a more experienced guide Rasheed who was fabulous. Perhaps Joseph could shadow Rasheed for a few tours to learn how to conduct one. Shame on the company who allowed an ill-prepared guide to take clients out on a tour. Very informative tour, Rashid, our tour guide was very nice, and smiling continuously. Also we visited Muscat downtown with the state palace and a museum.

The visit to the wadi was also very interesting. The best part of these trips is that everybody can relax and observe and there is no driver who misses from most of the good stuff. At the mosque a volunteer answered our questions and gave detailed information about the building of it while our guide Joseph had little to describe. It was VERY obvious that Joseph had not received enough training.
Generally the tour was very good, it covers a lot. The Grand Mosque may be the MUST visit invest Oman. It is an absolutely beautiful building, whatever your religion or

Tour Guide was clearly on different agenda! He wasn’t experienced in off road driving, or I would not be writing this. The visit to the Wadi and then back to the Sand Dunes added at least an hour to your trip total perplexed by that. Not sure why the Perfume factory was portion of the deal. We felt that we spent our money on being driven to Wadi via
We have more than twenty years of experience in designing and developing own products. Excellent guide who was simply very good with our 6 year old. Country is amazing and the desert safari was very exciting. Possibly the guided was very quick and we do not have enaugh time to enjoy the places. Not a bad tour but you can find it cheaper. We paid a little more than others going through Viator.

At this time we were consistently getting concerned we would go out of time. After some gentle persuasion more then once, as our guide didn’t appear to want to set off road we headed back to the desert why 2 trips, drove 50m up one sand dune, stopped and was encourage to take photos how exciting is that! I noticed at least 6 other vehicles doing amazing things across and up and down the dunes while we drove at pedestrian pace along a road! We were left disappointed that people didn’t go through the 4 x 4 Sand Dune/of Road adrenalin rush we expected and covered! We head pack to Muscat quite confused and disappointed, arriving home after 7pm.

  • Shame on the business who allowed an ill-prepared guide to take clients out on a tour.
  • The trip to the Wadi and back to the Sand Dunes added at least an hour to your trip total perplexed by that.
  • Thought that we would then check out Wadi Bani Khalid for swim and lunch, but headed to the desert!
  • was nice but there was not much to see and the guide’s English was very limited.
  • His driving skills are excellent aswell – the sand was loots of fun!

Picked up promptly in a very clean Land Cruiser, by polite and friendly tour guide. Asked in transit by our guide if we would want to visit a Perfume factor, we said no, but still finished up at the Perfume factory…45min wasted. Thought that we would then check out Wadi Bani Khalid for swim and lunch, but headed to the desert!

the North pole, when we may have walked there quicker. It was suggested to us that people could do the 4 x 4 experience next time…. It was a very interesting experience with plenty of relevant information given by a very capable tour guide. Basim did a fantastic job to produce a long trip best. His driving skills are excellent as well – the sand was loots of fun!
