For the 90 days I worked for MEC, the supervisor never came to work with a smile on her behalf face and always complained concerning the company. I gave 100% work ethic through all the choas, short staff and daily affirmations from the supervisor of how much she hated Marion Eye Center. I constantly asked her to train me for optical testing and optician work hoping to relief stress and she never even atempted. One day, out of no where, she sent her boss to inform me I wasn’t an excellent fit and they no longer needed my services. This was right within my 3 months they took money out my look for insurance that I never used.

I enjoyed my duties at MEC, however there have been several issues with management, depending on office location. Benefits weren’t fully explained at the time of my employment, but I am sure the problem is now fixed. They let some employees escape with ridiculous things. Had more work than hours per day with no overtime opportunities, expectations were high with very limited options on how best to achieve set expectations.
