Should a 5 year old wear glasses?
That’s what happened with us this last time. I check in now and then to this blog and was reading your story and saw that you taken care of immediately me so I thought I’d respond back.
Be sure to mention that the appointment won’t hurt a little and can even be fun! The physician will check your child’s vision utilizing a series of lenses to determine the prescription strength. Your child’s glasses will need proper care. Teach your child how to correctly clean the lenses and how to safely store glasses in an incident when they’re not in use. Especially with youngsters, it’s normal for them to forget to clean their glasses and feel unhappy about seeing blurry images because of smudged lenses. Patiently teach and remind your child to completely clean the glasses until this becomes a natural habit. For school-aged children,

She had a follow up back May and he said she looks good and to come back in six months. Well, I now am noticing crossing again and I’m waiting to take her back in to see why. I’m figuring her Rx has changed but I assume what I’m attempting to know is whether other people has the same situation as me. I don’t notice crossing when she uses them but it’s the top part of the glasses that I really do, at distance. As pediatric eye specialists, our team at ABC Children’s Eye Specialists

Once he’s got identified or eliminated a functional vision problem, he is able to do testing to confirm what prescription lenses will optimize the patient’s functional vision. The eyesight issue was an obvious problem, and less obvious was the functional vision issue. With the running, jumping, and falling little ones do, it’s important that toddler glasses stay put and intact. Some make use of elastic straps rather than earpieces to minimize the possibility of breaking that thin piece of plastic or metal. Some frames feature flexible hinges, which enable the specs to have a licking without coming apart at the seams. Signs Of Eye Problems
Personally i think bad and guilty for being upset relating to this, and I understand she’ll look “cute”…but there’s so much more to be worried about than to be happy about. Obviously I’m happy that people caught it in the beginning and really should be ok in the future, but I’m scared of these next few years. How will I know if her prescription is changing? Just how many times will her brother who’s 1 break them?! Having my daughter in glasses breaks my heart sometimes. I have trouble coping with it and the bifocal makes those feelings worse sometimes especially with pictures because you see this line across her pupil. Lots of people say how cute she actually is with her glasses and she is so cute using them but it’s hard never to feel alone.

lot of thinking till I decided to post this story, because it kinda appears to be from this site`s spirit. I am not just a mother yet, actually I am 16 yrs . old, but I will reveal my glasses experience.
I would though, expect that you might end up getting changing prescriptions and needing glasses adjustments for some time if they’re winging it. For what it’s worth, our doctor told us that at a young age, working out the prescription is as much an art as a science. I’d also be very cautious with relying on games in the home to check vision difference, ESPECIALLY with farsighted children. With farsightedness, many children can still focus without their glasses, the problem is that without their glasses it can lead to eye strain and eyes being pulled out of alignment. I totally agree that glasses would look super cute, we’d get accustomed to them, plus they would become a fun section of her personality! I am totally up to speed with that and have really embraced the idea.
